The computer boots straight to windows, and I’m trying to access the BIOS menu, as I just installed a new graphics card. I need to find a way to get into the BIOS menu without seeing the Dell logo at the beginning.
If it makes a difference, the card is a VisionTek HD 2400 Pro.
IT SKIPS THE DELL LOGO, idiots. And Rosa, don’t be a moron. I know what I’m doing; it doesn’t “install automatically”.

Ok, I have a Dell D9200 Desktop PC with the Intel P965 Express Chipset. I would like to put in a new intel quad core processor instead of my current 2.4ghz duo one. I am not sure if i can put one in my system though.

Some computers can hold only certain kinds of processor and I need to know wat the dell dimension 4600c can hold wat processor.
How much will it cost and where can i get it.
Where can I get it like online or in a store.

I have a dell inspirion, this morning i tryed to turn it on and it would not go past the DELL startup screen i cant hit f12 of f2 on my keyboard. It is almost like the mouse and keyboard are not being picked up. So i just get the screen and there is nothing i can do

My friend has a lot of viruses on their dell, so they need help to restore it. I know you’re supposed to hold down ctrl key and a f key but I forget which one.

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 computer, and I’m starting to run out of free hard disk drive space. My E310 Dimension Dell computer is in need of a hard drive sweep. It has an internal HD instead of the disks needed to reformat the computer back to its original state, and I forgot how to do it. I know you need to input a button at the start up screen, but I don’t know which.

I need a better power supply for the XFX 8800GT that I bought, but the power supply of my Dell isn’t good enough for it. If I bought a new power supply, even though it isn’t a Dell product, will the new power supply still be compatible with my computer?

I used to work as a technician for Dell. Whenever they send a new motherboard or CPU, it always came with a syringe of thermal paste. Does anyone know how many ounces of paste is in each of these syringes? I’m looking to buy some and want to compare prices, but need to know how much is sent in each of Dell’s syringes.

I recently noticed a crack in the frame of my computer. I called customer support (Dell) and asked them if they could fix it. They said it was not covered under my current warranty, so I bought accidental damage insurance, which would cover the damage. Since I bought the insurance online right after I reported the problem to them, will the warranty cover the damage or not? I’m wondering because they have it on record that I reported the problem to them, and then bought the insurance afterward.

I had a blue screen that suggested a driver was out of date and that caused the crash. Rather than go through every driver on Dell’s web site, I would love to have some utility that detects whether any of my drivers are out of date? I know Lenovo does this for at least some of their machines, and it is pretty handy. Does such a utility exist for Dells?

I just got a new dell keyboard and it was multi-media keys on it. Example: fast-forward, rewind, play, stop, volume controls…. etc. I can’t seem to use those controls on my itunes. How can i fix this problem?

I have a Dell that had a hard drive failure — I’d like to take the hard drive from that Dell and put it in my other Dell (as a slave drive) just to see if I can get to any of the files. (I tried disconnecting the CD-drive from Dell #2 and adding the failed drive from Dell #1 with those connections, but that didn’t work — I changed the jumpers so they looked like Slave in the diagram, but maybe that wasn’t right?) I just want to try to grab a few files from the failed drive. Help!? Thanks.
The error message was “unmountable boot drive” — from what I’ve read with other people having a similar problem, even though the drive isn’t booting, I might be able to get access to it (so it’s not a failure necessarily, just a complication?). Let’s say the drive is okay — how do I make the connection to get it recognized in Dell#2? Is the way I connected it (using the two connectors that were going into the CD-drive) the right way? What do I need to do on Dell#2 (in a control panel or something?) to get it to realize there’s a drive there to be shown? Thanks.
Got it to work. Got the drive recognized, saved some of the info, then did a chkdsk and was able to save the drive (probably lost some info, but not the majority). Thanks all.

I am planning to sell my parts and I was wondering what motherboard do I have in my Dell E310? Intel, whatever else there is. I was also wondering how much it might retail it for?

I have a few Dell motherboards, I’m trying to figure out what computer it is compatible with? How could I figure that out?

I have itunes on my pc(dell) computer, but when I plug my ipod into the computer, it doesn’t show up on the screen. I’m pretty sure that I can transfer songs from my dell to a mac, but will they transfer to my ipod? Do they need to be in a different format? Thank you!

I have an old Dell running on a Pentium4. If I just put the hard drive from that onto a custom built PC with an AMD Athlon 64 single-core processor, would I have a lot of problems? Can I do this and just replace all the Dell drivers and software with my new systems’ drivers and software and have it work seamlessly?
