My friend has a Dell Inspiron 1525, witha built-in webcam, and it has a mic on it..apparently, it is not disabled when she plugs in her mic and headset, and it picks up background noise and amplifies it so loud, we cannot even talk in Skype. She has tried to disable it in Control Panel, but it disabled all her mic functions. Any Advice?
Ok, I need to connect my new phone to my computer but it doesn’t use a USB, just these two above. I can turn them both on on the phone, but not on the computer. Also, I don’t know where the infrared port is on my Dell. Its Windows XP if that helps at all?
I’m lost and really need to connect them!
I have never done this. I consulted Dell support, but their drawings do not look like my PC. I don’t have 4 vertical slots where I can insert cards. I have two long horizontal cards, which seem to already be filled with other cards that came with the PC. Can someone take pity on me and offer some guidance, or does this model not come with open slots?
Does anyone know which powersupplies work with a dell xps 400? and is cheap with above 400 watts?… i am trying to replace my dell powersupply right now which is 375 watts and i planning to replace it because im probably changeing my graphics card soon so im gonna need a higher watt power supply…any suggestions?
I have a 5.1 Sound System that came from the factory with the computer. In the back of the tower there are 3 inputs for the 5.1 (yellow black and green), then there are a blue, a black, and a pink inputs.
I think one of them is for the mic or maybe the webcam, dunno. Do I need to install a sound card to run a line to the stereo receiver(Sony digital) or is there another way? Have tried running lines from the pink, blue, and black recepticles with an RCA jack, and no success. Thank-you for any info whatsoever.

I want to play cd’s on the computer in the office while doing Yahoo! Answers, and pipe the music into the living room and kitchen. Know what I mean? Thanks again.

Thank-you King, but the nice folks at Radio Shack didn’t have the answers. Will keep trying.
Thanks again King, I will go back to Radio Shack and get the connection you suggest. If it works I save big bucks for not buying the sound card!!!

Tried it and ran into problems, no go.

What do you think? Good buy?
I just got a new Dell 530 Inspiron and i bought an 8800GTS video card separetly. I found out that my power supply is too weak and i need at least a 400W power supply. Can i just buy any power supply that has the 6 pin PCI-e plug that i need and more than 400W? Or are there only certain power supplies that will fit my case? I want to do it as cheap as possible. Any help would be great !
I want to buy the Dell XPS 1530, but the graphics card is only a 8400GT, which isnt what i want. I would like a 8600, or even a 8800, and can i do that before i get the computer, just have them upgrade it at the factory or whatever?
That way i wouldnt have to mess with it and i could play the games i want to, while having the XPS 1530 that i want.
Thanks!
